Card name: Ace of Wands
Author: floridablanca
Prompt: Jo Harvelle
Rating: G
Artist Notes:

Reference materials for key symbols and meanings were taken from this website. And I realised how apt the prompt for this card is.

"The clouds deal with ambiguity, mystery, and things hidden. River symbol meanings deal with motion, direction, and the flow of our thoughts as well as our lives. The mountains deal with challenges, acquisition, accomplishment and aspirations." - tarotteachings.com

As per the prompt, the Ace of Wands means a new spark of energy for a new passion. This usually indicates that the querent has just discovered a new religion, philosophy, cause or career choice. They feel their energy go up, they feel the heat, and they want more of it. They take up the wand and start to walk. Jo, as young as she was, decided she wanted to be a hunter. Initially, I thought Jo was being a child who thinks that hunting is all just a big adventure. However, she has promptly proved herself brave and ready and passionate about hunting the scary things, even in that first episode.

Thanks to MD for being patient with me during the border-ing of the card. :D

Yep, this card is Jo, alright. And you have captured that look of determination, as well as the feeling that she might be a slight physical presence but she is all too ready to kick some butt!!

As i do not use tarot, i was afraid i'd make something irrelevant, so I'm glad you see all of that in the card. It's amazing how the prompt (Jo) inspired me while drawing the card, and it's very satisfying to draw something I understand.

Thanks for the lovely words, hon! :)

I know nothing about tarot either - other than reading the blurb for each of the prompts I have done but it has been such fun thinking of suitable images to go with the themes for each card!

Oh, you too! Yep, the prompts/descriptions are very helpful.

I've not seen all the finished cards yet, I just recently claimed my card and after that, it was a mad rush to finish it. Imma set a time to really go through all the cards and save everything, heh!! From what I've briefly seen, everybody's really come up with creative ways to represent each card! :DDD

Yes there are some really wonderfully creative ideas out there, I don't think I've seen a duff one yet!
